1. Toksyuryel's ramblings: i am seriously creeped out by skype

    lexyeevee:

    ok i just gotta say

    • the skype application is insanely obfuscated with like a dozen different traps to keep anyone from seeing how it works—i stress that i cannot name a single other application that tries so hard to hide what it’s doing, including actual malware

    • one of…

When you say you can’t think of another application that tries so hard to hide what it’s doing, you’ve probably never tried messing with AhnLab HackShield Pro. I have never seen something so protected from reverse engineering in my life. Themida, debugger traps, real-time code obfuscation  network based procedure validation, heartbeats, kernel mode driver that protects the main executable, and more.

The rest of the points are true though.

  2. toksyuryel replied to your post: wouldnt it suck if hussie died during the hiatus

How can you say a thing like that? =/

    Very easily: Lack of sleep.

Damn TV in Canada sucks. I want Cartoon Network.

  4. Oh by the way

If I ever get a thing that says “DO NOT GO TO THIS WEBSITE IT’S A VIRUS” on my dashboard, I’m going to go to the site.

And I’m going to disprove that it’s a virus (or in a rare case, prove it.)

    LISTEN TO ME

    WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU DO

    DON’T

    OPEN

    THEIR FUCKING PAGE

I JUST OPENED IT AND MY AVAST ANTIVIRUS TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A FUCKING TROJAN HORSE

verified. it contains a malware bug encrypted inside the javascript.

    SIGNAL BOOST

I just went to his page and looked at every single script on the page and there is not a single trojan horse or malware bug anywhere.

Although, there is a few ads/analytic beacons, and those have been known to trigger Antiviruses for god knows what reason.

Also “malware bug encrypted inside the javascript”. Despite the fact that this is indeed possible, this phrase pisses me off. Unless you’re using IE (if you are get the hell off my blog) you’re about 95% safe from this sort of thing considering Javascript is 1: interpreted and 2: runs in a sandbox.

Edit: After checking the original post, apparently what ever the “virus” was Tumblr fixed it.
